When Placido Celino fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored River Plate's protests and gave Placido Celino a yellow card for diving instead. After 27 played minutes River Plate got a freekick which was hit by Placido Celino. Tadeo Lop sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Radomil Chlebek recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. River Plate's Faustino Roderigo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tadeo Lop in the 41st minute of play. Haroldo Berart received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Faustino Roderigo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eusebio Olivar to strike the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 51 minutes, Radomil Chlebek took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Faustino Roderigo to make any attempt to save it. 55 minutes into the game, Tadeo Lop recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Faustino Roderigo. Tadeo Lop showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. Faustino Roderigo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Haroldo Berart in the 57th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Tadeo Lop's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Faustino Roderigo was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. After 61 minutes of play, Nuevo Beraza FC's Tadeo Lop made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net.
