Spectators: 6408 (Terracing: 5408, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Andres Gil got the match started through his kick off. After having played for 3 minutes, Benito Pero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gral. Belgrano FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benito Pero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Benito Pero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Faustino Roderigo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andres Gil in the 8th minute of play forced River Plate's goalkeeper Faustino Roderigo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Benito Pero in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Faustino Roderigo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 12 minutes into the match, River Plate's goal looked a bit too open when Benito Pero came free, but Faustino Roderigo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benito Pero might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Faustino Roderigo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Benito Pero ran back to his position shaking his head. After 15 played minutes River Plate got a freekick which was hit by Placido Celino. After a defensive mix-up in River Plate's zone, Andres Gil stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Faustino Roderigo came out of the goal and Andres Gil tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, River Plate's Placido Celino got a free kick in the 18th minute. 19 minutes into the match, Gral. Belgrano FC's Teo Gabino broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 21st minute Andres Gil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Faustino Roderigo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fabian Lopes struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Faustino Roderigo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gral. Belgrano FC. Andres Gil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Faustino Roderigo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Gral. Belgrano FC booed when River Plate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martin Nayely didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to River Plate getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Mario Markel hit a great ball. In the 27th match minute, Gral. Belgrano FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andres Gil to maneuver through the defense. In the 29th minute, Gral. Belgrano FC's Gogo Cordarrel seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Gogo Cordarrel the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Gral. Belgrano FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Gogo Cordarrel had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee gave River Plate a penalty, 30 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Eustacio Boni, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Gral. Belgrano FC's Fulgencio Benitez. 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marciano Sindo during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Fulgencio Benitez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eusebio Olivar's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. A hard shot 38 in the game by Mario Markel from a close distance when the talented Fulgencio Benitez managed to make a qualified save. Gral. Belgrano FC's players were relieved. After 39 minutes, Fabian Lopes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gral. Belgrano FC and the River Plate players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of River Plate booed when Gral. Belgrano FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabian Lopes didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Mario Markel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eusebio Olivar in the 48th minute of play forced Gral. Belgrano FC's goalkeeper Fulgencio Benitez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eusebio Olivar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, River Plate's Paulino Velasco got a free kick in the 61st minute. Benito Pero's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Faustino Roderigo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. Placido Celino kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Benito Pero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Faustino Roderigo having to interfere. In the 71st match minute, River Plate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Feliciano Oihan to maneuver through the defense. River Plate's Faustino Roderigo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save River Plate from getting a goal against them. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gral. Belgrano FC's goalkeeper Fulgencio Benitez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the match clock showed 78 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Mario Markel sped through Gral. Belgrano FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Fulgencio Benitez. Fulgencio Benitez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mario Markel went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Mario Markel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 90 minutes into the match, River Plate's goalkeeper Faustino Roderigo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benito Pero. Benito Pero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Faustino Roderigo having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Gral. Belgrano FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for River Plate.
