Club Sportivo Paternal's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Fabricio Pacorro 7 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. If Fabricio Pacorro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rolando Patxi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gaston Rosalio's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 15thth minute, Joaquin Fidensio skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 17 minutes into the match, CA Defensores Nacionales's Isaias Herensuge sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joaquin Fidensio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Club Sportivo Paternal's Joaquin Fidensio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Club Sportivo Paternal from getting a goal against them. In the 19th minute, CA Defensores Nacionales's Gaston Rosalio ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Joaquin Fidensio. Joaquin Fidensio yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. Gaston Rosalio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Isaias Herensuge in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joaquin Fidensio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 27 played minutes Club Sportivo Paternal got a freekick which was hit by Ladislao Iago. Jacinto Urre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bruno Chinto, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. In the 33rd minute, Club Sportivo Paternal's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Armando Kauldi fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When Armando Kauldi came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the CA Defensores Nacionales fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Armando Kauldi couldn't finish the play. 34 minutes into the game, Moises Mon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Sportivo Paternal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CA Defensores Nacionales the free kick. Candido Ponce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacinto Urre having to interfere. Club Sportivo Paternal's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Fabricio Pacorro 45 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 4-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fabricio Pacorro was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Candido Ponce made a precise shot to the right of Jacinto Urre. CA Defensores Nacionales's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. After some careless play in the Club Sportivo Paternal defense, Gaston Rosalio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joaquin Fidensio. The Club Sportivo Paternal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joaquin Fidensio should have stopped the shot. Fabricio Pacorro struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Joaquin Fidensio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CA Defensores Nacionales. Joaquin Fidensio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isaias Herensuge in the 63rd minute of play. Joaquin Fidensio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabricio Pacorro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gaston Rosalio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
