E. de L.P.'s Damaso Jurdan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isaias Herensuge in the 16th minute of play. 17 minutes into the game, Gaston Rosalio lined in a short shot 2-0 behind a frustrated Damaso Jurdan. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind E. de L.P.'s goalkeeper Damaso Jurdan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to CA Defensores Nacionales getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Gaston Rosalio hit a great ball. Damaso Jurdan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rolando Patxi in the 42nd minute of the match. In the 47th minute Gustavo Patrido shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacinto Urre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Wilfredo Cai made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Gaston Rosalio managed to get in a good position for a shot. CA Defensores Nacionales's supporters rose to their feet, but Gaston Rosalio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Damaso Jurdan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the E. de L.P. defense, Rolando Patxi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Damaso Jurdan. The E. de L.P. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Damaso Jurdan should have stopped the shot. In the 58th minute, Gaston Rosalio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Isaias Herensuge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Fabricio Pacorro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. CA Defensores Nacionales's Jacinto Urre proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save CA Defensores Nacionales from getting a goal against them. Gaston Rosalio might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Damaso Jurdan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gaston Rosalio ran back to his position shaking his head. Benicio Barto charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Isaias Herensuge in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Damaso Jurdan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gustavo Patrido could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Jacinto Urre made a huge save. Marco Naldo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damaso Jurdan having to interfere. Damaso Jurdan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fabricio Pacorro's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. Marcos Primeiro got his second yellow card in the match during the 88th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to E. de L.P. getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Marcos Primeiro hit a great ball. After having played for 92 minutes, Fabricio Pacorro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CA Defensores Nacionales's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabricio Pacorro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fabricio Pacorro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damaso Jurdan having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. CA Defensores Nacionales had played much better football throughout.
