Rogelio Ihazintu came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Atletico Chimichurri's Ladislao Weather. But to his dismay, Ladislao Weather quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Sebastian Adrio struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Ruperto Roano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Atletico Red Blazers. Ubaldo Teodor hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Rogelio Ihazintu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurelio Eliazar in the 37th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ladislao Weather in the 39th minute of play forced Club Atletico Red Blazers's goalkeeper Rogelio Ihazintu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Aurelio Eliazar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rogelio Ihazintu was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aurelio Eliazar was the one to do the kick off. When Roberto Vermudo fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atletico Chimichurri's protests and gave Roberto Vermudo a yellow card for diving instead. 59 minutes into the match, Atletico Chimichurri's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastian Adrio came free, but Ruperto Roano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Adrio in the 61st minute of play forced Atletico Chimichurri's goalkeeper Ruperto Roano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Camilo Diaz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruperto Roano having to interfere. Camilo Diaz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ruperto Roano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. Rogelio Ihazintu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ladislao Weather in the 74th minute. In the 77th minute, Club Atletico Red Blazers's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Aurelio Eliazar fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Camilo Diaz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Sebastian Adrio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rogelio Ihazintu made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Ladislao Weather sent off a good shot on target. Club Atletico Red Blazers's Sebastian Adrio got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Antonio Giro kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Atletico Chimichurri eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
