Spectators: 7263 (Terracing: 5449, Seating: 1670, VIP seats: 144) Piratas CAB's Aquilino Mark started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Aquilino Mark scored 0-1 in the 3rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edgard Iigo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Astor Joanes in the 8th minute of play forced Piratas CAB's goalkeeper Edgard Emeterio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 13th minute, Piratas CAB's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Evaristo Rencio fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 18 minutes into the match, Piratas CAB's goal looked a bit too open when Astor Joanes came free, but Edgard Emeterio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 24th minute, Astor Joanes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Warnes fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Astor Joanes couldn't finish the play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Evaristo Rencio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Edgard Emeterio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonatan Txindoki in the 55th minute of play.
