After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Jonatan Txindoki managed to get in a good position for a shot. Warnes's supporters rose to their feet, but Jonatan Txindoki was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Camilo Thomas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 8 minutes into the match, Warnes's goal looked a bit too open when Basilio Tiso came free, but Edgard Iigo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 10 minutes into the game, Astor Joanes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Camilo Thomas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Evaristo Rencio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Astor Joanes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Camilo Thomas having to interfere. Astor Joanes took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Camilo Thomas. Camilo Thomas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 22 minutes into the match, Newells's goal looked a bit too open when Jonatan Txindoki came free, but Camilo Thomas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Camilo Thomas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jonatan Txindoki went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Evaristo Rencio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Edgard Iigo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Basilio Tiso showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 32 minute of play. Basilio Tiso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emiliano Cordearo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Camilo Thomas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Astor Joanes struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Camilo Thomas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Warnes. Jonatan Txindoki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Jonatan Txindoki came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Warnes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jonatan Txindoki couldn't finish the play. Camilo Thomas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonatan Txindoki in the 45th minute of the match. Filiberto Nicholas kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. The Newells players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Warnes were winning 1-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Evaristo Rencio to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Jonatan Txindoki got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Astor Joanes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 59 minutes into the match, Newells's goalkeeper Camilo Thomas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Evaristo Rencio. Jonatan Txindoki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Camilo Thomas having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Newells's zone, Evaristo Rencio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Camilo Thomas came out of the goal and Evaristo Rencio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 73rd minute, Evaristo Rencio reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Camilo Thomas. The goal made the score 1-5. In the 78th match minute, Newells was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gonzalo Tavio to maneuver through the defense. Evaristo Rencio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Camilo Thomas having to interfere. Jonatan Txindoki was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 84th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. When Evaristo Rencio came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Warnes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Evaristo Rencio couldn't finish the play. Edgard Iigo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Basilio Tiso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Astor Joanes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Camilo Thomas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Newells's Camilo Thomas got control of the ball when Evaristo Rencio tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match was over Warnes could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Newells throughout the match.
