Spectators: 6774 (Terracing: 5100, Seating: 1654, VIP seats: 20) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Desiderio Mederi started the match with the kick off. After having played for 4 minutes, Serafin Vedillo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Leones's supporters crossed their fingers, but Serafin Vedillo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to F.C. Guardia Imperial getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Hilario Abaurre hit a great ball. Desiderio Mederi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Laureano Tonete tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. F.C. Guardia Imperial's Laureano Tonete played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Desiderio Mederi in the 11th minute of play. A collision led to F.C. Guardia Imperial getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Fidel Emenon hit a great ball. Candido Teyo didn't quite understand what happened when in the 14 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. In the 20th minute, Felipe Frechoso left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The F.C. Guardia Imperial fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. When Luciano Egoitz fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored F.C. Guardia Imperial's protests and gave Luciano Egoitz a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, F.C. Guardia Imperial's Luciano Egoitz got a free kick in the 23rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Desiderio Mederi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Leones's supporters rose to their feet, but Desiderio Mederi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Laureano Tonete breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cayetano Escobar kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Cayetano Escobar's late challenge caught a Leones's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cayetano Escobar helped the player get up and apologised. After 31 played minutes F.C. Guardia Imperial got a freekick which was hit by Cayetano Escobar. Serafin Vedillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laureano Tonete having to interfere. If Desiderio Mederi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Celso Cuarto took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Claudio Abeitia. Claudio Abeitia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Claudio Abeitia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celso Cuarto in the 43rd minute of play. Leones's Claudio Abeitia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celso Cuarto in the 44th minute of play. 48 minutes into the match, F.C. Guardia Imperial's goal looked a bit too open when Desiderio Mederi came free, but Laureano Tonete reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half F.C. Guardia Imperial were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Celso Cuarto made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felipe Frechoso got free with Claudio Abeitia in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 52 minutes into the game, Felipe Frechoso recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Claudio Abeitia. Felipe Frechoso showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. After 60 played minutes F.C. Guardia Imperial got a freekick which was hit by Filomeno Fidensio. Benicio Eyague kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. F.C. Guardia Imperial's Fidel Emenon couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 67th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Leones. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind Leones's goalkeeper Claudio Abeitia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 83rd minute, Desiderio Mederi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Laureano Tonete was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. In the 86th minute, Filomeno Fidensio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leones's Desiderio Mederi got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Leones booed when F.C. Guardia Imperial was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cayetano Escobar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomás Carlomagno scored 2-3 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Laureano Tonete, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
