Spectators: 7227 (Terracing: 5422, Seating: 1662, VIP seats: 143) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Christian Mergildo kicked off to start the match. Ramon Paio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Poder Popular booed when Juncal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodolfo Chayo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Miguel Ascencio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eloy Aritza having to interfere. Roque Gerazan's late challenge caught a Poder Popular's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Roque Gerazan helped the player get up and apologised. 10 minutes into the game, one of Juncal:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Poder Popular a penalty, 12 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Pedro Chuse, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Juncal's Eloy Aritza. 0-1. After 21 minutes, Ciriaco Teyo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Juncal and the Poder Popular players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 20th minute, one of Juncal:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Juncal. The referee gave Poder Popular a penalty, 23 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Pedro Chuse, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Juncal's Eloy Aritza. 0-2. Ramon Paio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 32 minutes, Flavio Porfirio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Poder Popular's supporters crossed their fingers, but Flavio Porfirio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 34 played minutes Poder Popular got a freekick which was hit by Christian Mergildo. After 36 played minutes Juncal got a freekick which was hit by Roque Gerazan. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Mergildo in the 41st minute of play forced Juncal's goalkeeper Eloy Aritza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Juncal's Celestino Cristos got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 46th minute, Juncal's Celestino Cristos ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jacinto Kemen. Jacinto Kemen yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The wind increased when Celestino Cristos made the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Poder Popular defense, Celestino Cristos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jacinto Kemen. The Poder Popular fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jacinto Kemen should have stopped the shot. 58 minutes into the match, Poder Popular's goal looked a bit too open when Rodolfo Chayo came free, but Jacinto Kemen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ramon Paio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jacinto Kemen having to make a save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Braulio Jenaro during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The audience was convinced that Christian Mergildo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eloy Aritza was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. Juncal's Eloy Aritza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christian Mergildo in the 74th minute of play. During the 78th minute of the match Roque Gerazan completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Roque Gerazan a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Juncal's Roque Gerazan got a free kick in the 78th minute. A collision led to Juncal getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Teodosio Silban hit a great ball. 90 minutes into the game, Celestino Cristos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Juncal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Poder Popular the free kick. Celestino Cristos kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Pedro Chuse's shot from long distance in the 92nd minute was not bad at all, but Juncal's Eloy Aritza knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. Christian Mergildo had several of the Juncal's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 94 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-3 score and a disappointed Eloy Aritza as he didn't even see the shot coming. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Poder Popular walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
