When Christian Mergildo came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Poder Popular fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christian Mergildo couldn't finish the play. Fabian Raebert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anibal Ermengol in the 26th minute of play. The supporters of Poder Popular booed when Horror team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cosme Lano didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Santos Iturri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The long shot by Fernando Elija in the 35th minute really tested Fabian Raebert's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After 36 played minutes Horror team got a freekick which was hit by Froilan Atarrabi. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clodoveo Hartz in the 38th minute of play forced Poder Popular's goalkeeper Jacinto Kemen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fabian Raebert showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christian Mergildo in the 39th minute of the match. Miguel Ascencio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabian Raebert having to interfere. Jacinto Kemen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santos Iturri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Anibal Ermengol kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Fabian Raebert. That made the score 1-0 in the 47 minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Christian Mergildo to make the kick off. Fabian Raebert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miguel Ascencio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 62nd minute, Anibal Ermengol left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Poder Popular fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. In the 68th minute Christian Mergildo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabian Raebert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fabian Raebert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anibal Ermengol, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Cosme Lano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Horror team's Santos Iturri got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 87th minute, Santos Iturri fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Jacinto Kemen, passed just outside the right post. Clodoveo Hartz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacinto Kemen having to interfere.
