When Jonathan Bibiano came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Yutuyaco fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jonathan Bibiano couldn't finish the play. Jorge Rios took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonathan Bibiano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jorge Rios came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Yutuyaco's Ladislao Breogan. But to his dismay, Ladislao Breogan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Cayanta's Jorge Rios played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonathan Bibiano in the 38th minute of play. 44 minutes into the match, Yutuyaco's goal looked a bit too open when Clodoveo Matro came free, but Ruperto Gabon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Jonathan Bibiano came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Yutuyaco fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jonathan Bibiano couldn't finish the play. Guillermo Feliu struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The supporters of Yutuyaco booed when Cayanta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clodoveo Matro didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpected shot in the 63rd minute by Ceferino Abancens got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. With a little luck, Cayanta's Jorge Rios got control of the ball when Jonathan Bibiano tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jonathan Bibiano in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jorge Rios saved Cayanta from getting behind. Yutuyaco's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
