The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Humberto Matai showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horacio Flor, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. If Pablo Bartoleme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 16th match minute Robustiano Raitin ran free in the middle of the field and shot a long shot which scored behind a totally surprised Humberto Matai. 1-0. After a rather tough play, Manantiales's Danilo Filipo got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Barrow's Constantino Markel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pablo Bartoleme in the 32nd minute of play. Humberto Matai showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horacio Flor, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Pablo Bartoleme's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Constantino Markel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Constantino Markel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Virgilio Mateus in the 53rd minute of play. When Virgilio Mateus came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Manantiales fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Virgilio Mateus couldn't finish the play. Manantiales's Delmiro Uxio couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 59th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Barrow. Miguel Matia charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Miguel Matia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 62nd match minute, Manantiales was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miguel Matia to maneuver through the defense. Gabriel Gaxan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Humberto Matai tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Horacio Flor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gabriel Gaxan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Humberto Matai having to interfere. In the 81st minute Gabriel Gaxan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Humberto Matai saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pablo Bartoleme got free with Constantino Markel in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Barrow's Pascual Santiago got a free kick in the 86th minute. Manantiales's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
