Moises Perrando made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Quirce in the 3rd minute of play. In the 4th minute, Desiderio Abeijon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Daniel Quirce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniel Quirce received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Moises Perrando tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Moises Perrando made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Desiderio Abeijon in the 10th minute of play. Moises Perrando didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Quirce went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Daniel Quirce sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Desiderio Abeijon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Moises Perrando tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 25 played minutes River Plate got a freekick which was hit by Anselmo Cordairo. Caramelo Salado's Daniel Quirce got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Desiderio Abeijon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 34th minute Desiderio Abeijon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Moises Perrando saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Generoso Merexildo in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gregorio Joseph saved Caramelo Salado from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Alonzo Cordario managed to get in a good position for a shot. River Plate's supporters rose to their feet, but Alonzo Cordario was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gregorio Joseph breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Generoso Merexildo made the kick off in the second half. Anselmo Cordairo kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. River Plate's Moises Perrando proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save River Plate from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Caramelo Salado booed when River Plate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anselmo Cordairo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Caramelo Salado's Desiderio Abeijon got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Daniel Quirce's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Moises Perrando read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. If Generoso Merexildo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Generoso Merexildo in the 86th minute of play forced Caramelo Salado's goalkeeper Gregorio Joseph to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Generoso Merexildo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Moises Perrando was out of position in the 93 minute of play, and Desiderio Abeijon capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Desiderio Abeijon really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Caramelo Salado had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
