Caramelo Salado's Daniel Quirce got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 9 played minutes Caramelo Salado got a freekick which was hit by Bonifacio Rainerio. Honorio Librado missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 11 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Gregorio Joseph right hand side. In the 16thth minute of the game Desiderio Abeijon who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but La Tablada FC's Marcelo Ilazki was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 18 minutes into the match, Caramelo Salado's goal looked a bit too open when Diego Montrelle came free, but Gregorio Joseph reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Hermengildo Hartz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Diego Montrelle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gregorio Joseph having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Desiderio Abeijon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caramelo Salado's supporters rose to their feet, but Desiderio Abeijon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcelo Ilazki breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Daniel Quirce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelo Ilazki having to interfere. Marcelo Ilazki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Desiderio Abeijon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Desiderio Abeijon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 36th minute, Desiderio Abeijon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. David Tristan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelo Ilazki having to interfere. Diego Montrelle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After a defensive mix-up in La Tablada FC's zone, Desiderio Abeijon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcelo Ilazki came out of the goal and Desiderio Abeijon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Desiderio Abeijon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Marcelo Ilazki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Caramelo Salado booed when La Tablada FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pablo Cordarell didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Quirce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelo Ilazki having to interfere. Marcelo Ilazki had great luck who in the 71stth minute grab hold of the ball when Desiderio Abeijon from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Hermengildo Hartz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Gregorio Joseph tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Desiderio Abeijon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcelo Ilazki read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. After 80 played minutes La Tablada FC got a freekick which was hit by Pablo Cordarell. Caramelo Salado's Desiderio Abeijon got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nestor Eguerdi was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 85 minutes into the match. In the 84th minute, one of Caramelo Salado:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Caramelo Salado. In the 87th minute there was a penalty for La Tablada FC. Honorio Librado stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Gregorio Joseph. 1-0. Gregorio Joseph took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hermengildo Hartz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Daniel Quirce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
