In the 8th minute, Iker Pello fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The supporters of Belén FC booed when River Plate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jimeno Gonzo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Moises Perrando was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Iker Pello showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 20 minute of play. When Alonzo Cordario came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the River Plate fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alonzo Cordario couldn't finish the play. River Plate's Moises Perrando played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iker Pello in the 28th minute of play. After 29 minutes, Donato Ignado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the River Plate and the Belén FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Benjamin Cebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 40th match minute, River Plate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ismael Serapio to maneuver through the defense. In the 45th minute, Francisco Celino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alonzo Cordario fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Astor Dayam having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Generoso Merexildo made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Iker Pello ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Moises Perrando was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. 61 minutes into the match, River Plate's goal looked a bit too open when Iker Pello came free, but Moises Perrando reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Francisco Celino fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Belén FC's protests and gave Francisco Celino a yellow card for diving instead. Francisco Celino kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Generoso Merexildo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 82 minutes into the game, Belén FC's Benjamin Cebo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Moises Perrando made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. The supporters of River Plate booed when Belén FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Moises Seme didn't get a good kick on the ball. Astor Dayam stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Generoso Merexildo's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. Generoso Merexildo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alonzo Cordarios short, quick shot in the 92ndth minute got Astor Dayam to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Moises Perrando showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benjamin Cebo in the 93rd minute of the match. Iker Pello's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Moises Perrando read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 97th minute of play. River Plate's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
