The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Arnaldo Dimo hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. A collision led to Caramelo Salado getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. David Tristan hit a great ball. In the 19th minute, Erubiel Eguen made a precise shot to the right of Gregorio Joseph. Caramelo Salado's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Gregorio Joseph took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erubiel Eguen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 24th minute of the match TEMPERLEY A.C.T. got a corner. Caramelo Salado's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Emiliano Rosalio ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Emiliano Rosalio almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Caramelo Salado's Gregorio Joseph did a great save. 25 minutes into the game, one of Caramelo Salado:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 30 minutes into the match, Caramelo Salado's goal looked a bit too open when Erubiel Eguen came free, but Gregorio Joseph reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Erubiel Eguen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Gregorio Joseph tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Quirce got free with Edgardo Galsino in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. TEMPERLEY A.C.T.'s Edgardo Galsino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save TEMPERLEY A.C.T. from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Daniel Quirce managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caramelo Salado's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Quirce was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edgardo Galsino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 48th minute Octavio Shantala shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gregorio Joseph saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Desiderio Abeijon was the one to do the kick off. Daniel Quirce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgardo Galsino having to interfere. In the 74th minute, Desiderio Abeijon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Edgardo Galsino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Desiderio Abeijon in the 76th minute of play. Arnaldo Dimo was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 90 minutes into the match. After 89 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Caramelo Salado! Gregorio Joseph showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erubiel Eguen, who was totally free with the ball in the 99th minute. The TEMPERLEY A.C.T. supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing TEMPERLEY A.C.T. would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
