After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Carmelo Gauargi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Curne's supporters rose to their feet, but Carmelo Gauargi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rene Salvino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carmelo Gauargi got free with Rene Salvino in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rene Salvino made an important save on a dangerous shot by Florencio Opilano in the 17th minute. A hard shot 18 in the game by Carmelo Gauargi from a close distance when the talented Rene Salvino managed to make a qualified save. Club Atletico Boca Junior's players were relieved. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Feliciano Paz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Curne's supporters rose to their feet, but Feliciano Paz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rene Salvino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Carmelo Gauargi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rene Salvino having to interfere. Pascual Peio kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. 30 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Boca Junior's goal looked a bit too open when Aurelio Min came free, but Rene Salvino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Atletico Boca Junior's goalkeeper Rene Salvino, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Salvador Perutxo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 38 minutes, Nereo Cidro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Curne and the Club Atletico Boca Junior players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 38 played minutes Curne got a freekick which was hit by Nereo Cidro. Andres Figueroa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atletico Boca Junior's zone, Carmelo Gauargi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rene Salvino came out of the goal and Carmelo Gauargi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ignacio Izel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Carmelo Gauargi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Carmelo Gauargi made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carmelo Gauargi in the 52nd minute of play forced Club Atletico Boca Junior's goalkeeper Rene Salvino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Carmelo Gauargi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Florencio Opilano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rene Salvino having to interfere. When Carmelo Gauargi came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Curne fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carmelo Gauargi couldn't finish the play. Carmelo Gauargi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rene Salvino having to interfere. If Feliciano Paz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Curne's Carmelo Gauargi in the 69th minute got a chance for a shot 69th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Club Atletico Boca Junior's goalie prevented a goal. Salvador Perutxo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Julio Domingues made a huge save. Alberto Clodio kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Carmelo Gauargi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rene Salvino having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Curne's Feliciano Paz got a free kick in the 86th minute. Carmelo Gauargi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Rene Salvino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Feliciano Paz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rene Salvino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Feliciano Paz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carmelo Gauargi in the 97th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rene Salvino saved Club Atletico Boca Junior from getting behind. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Curne fully deserved thier win.
