Miraflores's Ladislao Pedroso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evelio Leocadio in the 28th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arsenio Timo got free with Ladislao Pedroso in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Apostadores jr's Arsenio Timo got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ladislao Pedroso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evelio Leocadio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
