But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nicanor Louis couldn't finish the play. Carmelo Gauargi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nicanor Louis scored 2-0 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Domingues, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Haroldo Seme made in the 16th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Curne's Milosz Furgal. If Carmelo Gauargi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mariano Asier stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carmelo Gauargi's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. The supporters of Curne booed when The Wolf was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pastor Arce didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carmelo Gauargi in the 36th minute of play forced The Wolf's goalkeeper Mariano Asier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ignacio Izel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mariano Asier having to interfere. In the 39th match minute, The Wolf was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isaias Phelipe to maneuver through the defense. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Carmelo Gauargi to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Curne's Carmelo Gauargi ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Mariano Asier.
