After 11 played minutes Liniers got a freekick which was hit by Constantino Tonete. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Salvador Perutxo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atletico Boca Junior's supporters rose to their feet, but Salvador Perutxo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leopoldo Dimo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Liniers getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Zacarias Ibar hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Liniers's Constantino Tonete tried to score from far away in the 25th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agustin Abecia in the 29th minute of play forced Club Atletico Boca Junior's goalkeeper Rene Salvino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andres Figueroa's late challenge caught a Liniers's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Andres Figueroa helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Club Atletico Boca Junior getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Andres Figueroa hit a great ball. If Santiago Jorrin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Agustin Abecia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rene Salvino having to interfere. Rene Salvino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santiago Jorrin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mauricio Rojelio struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Rene Salvino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Liniers. Santiago Jorrin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rene Salvino read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. Leopoldo Dimo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andres Figueroa in the 45th minute of play. If Santiago Jorrin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Agustin Abecia made a kick off. In the 55th minute Andres Figueroa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leopoldo Dimo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Liniers's zone, Andres Figueroa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leopoldo Dimo came out of the goal and Andres Figueroa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leopoldo Dimo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andres Figueroa in the 59th minute of the match. 63 minutes had been played when some careless play by Liniers's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Marcelo Lamberto was slow to take the kick. During this time Club Atletico Boca Junior's players had a chance to rest. It was a well-played corner which Benito Jaen managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. When Salvador Perutxo came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Club Atletico Boca Junior fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Salvador Perutxo couldn't finish the play. Andres Figueroa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leopoldo Dimo having to interfere. If Agustin Abecia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 77 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Boca Junior's goal looked a bit too open when Agustin Abecia came free, but Rene Salvino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Liniers getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Bernardino Blasi hit a great ball. After 82 minutes, Salvador Perutxo made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Liniers's Leopoldo Dimo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Agustin Abecia blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rene Salvino having to make a save. Club Atletico Boca Junior's Rene Salvino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Club Atletico Boca Junior from getting a goal against them. Santiago Jorrin hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Club Atletico Boca Junior were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
