Teo Che stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edelmiro Garci's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. After the first half River Plate were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Edelmiro Garci made the kick off in the second half. If Julio Gotzon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. Edelmiro Garci in the 69thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. After having played for 85 minutes, Edelmiro Garci managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. River Plate's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edelmiro Garci was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, SARANDI F.C's Joel Galo got a free kick in the 86th minute. Edelmiro Garci got a fine position in front of goal ttaking advantage of the opportunity to rumble in 1-6 in the right cross in the 88th match minute before Teo Che had time to react. In the 91st match minute, River Plate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anibal James to maneuver through the defense. Julio Gotzon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle sounded River Plate left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than SARANDI F.C.
