Seating: 1656, VIP seats: 0) Bolívar's Nicolas Martxel started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Serafin Guter fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bolívar's protests and gave Serafin Guter a yellow card for diving instead. Serafin Guter hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. 5 minutes into the match, Ballesteros's Fabio Quirze broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. With a little luck, Ballesteros's Fabricio Corderro got control of the ball when Eustacio Frasco tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fabricio Corderro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicolas Martxel in the 10th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Bolívar's goal looked a bit too open when Nestor Manni came free, but Evaristo Otsoko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Herminio Izotz hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Fabricio Corderro came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Bolívar's Eustacio Frasco. But to his dismay, Eustacio Frasco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. A collision led to Ballesteros getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Laureano Mel hit a great ball. Bolívar's Herminio Izotz got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Nestor Manni came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Ballesteros fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nestor Manni couldn't finish the play. Jonathan Barto hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Bolívar's Nicolas Martxel got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
The wind increased when Fernando Dino made the kick off in the second half. Fabricio Corderro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicolas Martxel in the 54th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Dino in the 59th minute of play forced Bolívar's goalkeeper Evaristo Otsoko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 60 minutes into the match, Bolívar's goal looked a bit too open when Fernando Dino came free, but Evaristo Otsoko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fernando Dino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evaristo Otsoko having to interfere. If Fernando Dino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Evaristo Otsoko came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Ballesteros's Fernando Dino. But to his dismay, Fernando Dino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Ballesteros's zone, Eustacio Frasco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabricio Corderro came out of the goal and Eustacio Frasco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fabricio Corderro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eustacio Frasco, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. 79 minutes into the match, Ballesteros's goal looked a bit too open when Nicolas Martxel came free, but Fabricio Corderro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Eustacio Frasco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fabricio Corderro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicolas Martxel in the 89th minute of play. If Nestor Manni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
