Osvaldo Botello took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luis Nafarroa. Luis Nafarroa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 25th minute, Dante Oihenarte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 38 minutes, Sergio Elodio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ramblones's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sergio Elodio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cesar Hegoi to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Osvaldo Botello in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luis Nafarroa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ramblones's Tadeo Galeno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dante Oihenarte in the 57th minute of play. Tadeo Galeno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cesar Hegoi in the 62nd minute of the match. If Dante Oihenarte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 67th minute, Ramblones's Eliseo Ekain seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Eliseo Ekain the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Ramblones protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Eliseo Ekain had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Cesar Hegoi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 79th minute, Cesar Hegoi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hernández FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Osvaldo Botello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute.
