In the 6th minute Filiberto Esdras shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luis Nafarroa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Dante Oihenarte came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Hernández FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dante Oihenarte couldn't finish the play. 10 minutes into the match, CHIVA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cesar Hegoi came free, but Jacobo Lalla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cesar Hegoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Jacobo Lalla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Dante Oihenarte managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hernández FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Dante Oihenarte was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jacobo Lalla breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Filiberto Esdras kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Luis Nafarroa. That made the score 1-0 in the 16 minute of play. After 19 played minutes CHIVA FC got a freekick which was hit by Eliseo Etxatxu. Luis Nafarroa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filiberto Esdras in the 20th minute of the match. Apolo Miro's late challenge caught a CHIVA FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Apolo Miro helped the player get up and apologised. In the 21st minute, Apolo Miro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dante Oihenarte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobo Lalla having to interfere. Cesar Hegoi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jacobo Lalla read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Hernández FC's zone, Filiberto Esdras stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luis Nafarroa came out of the goal and Filiberto Esdras tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Eliseo Etxatxu managed to get in a good position for a shot. CHIVA FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Eliseo Etxatxu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luis Nafarroa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luis Nafarroa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filiberto Esdras in the 47th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After 52 played minutes Cesar Hegoi rounded CHIVA FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-1. 57 minutes into the match, CHIVA FC's goalkeeper Jacobo Lalla had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dante Oihenarte. Dante Oihenarte could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Jacobo Lalla made a huge save. Filiberto Esdras received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. The supporters of CHIVA FC booed when Hernández FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Santiago Dantae didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 74th minute, Filiberto Esdras got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cesar Hegoi in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jacobo Lalla saved CHIVA FC from getting behind. Jacobo Lalla made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Dante Oihenarte sent off a good shot on target. 94 minutes into the match, CHIVA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cesar Hegoi came free, but Jacobo Lalla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
