A collision led to Ramblones getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Eustacio Cheche hit a great ball. Tadeo Galeno was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Domingo Belarmo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 14 minute of play. After having played for 18 minutes, Osvaldo Botello managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ramblones's supporters crossed their fingers, but Osvaldo Botello was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 20th match minute, CHIVA FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carmelo Mel to maneuver through the defense. Tadeo Galeno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliseo Etxatxu in the 25th minute of the match. Osvaldo Botello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobo Lalla having to interfere. Alfonso Satordi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Osvaldo Botello in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jacobo Lalla saved CHIVA FC from getting behind. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Osvaldo Botello blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jacobo Lalla having to make a save. Osvaldo Botello who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 60thth minute tested the skills of Jacobo Lalla when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Osvaldo Botello's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jacobo Lalla was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. Jacobo Lalla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osvaldo Botello in the 67th minute of play. Osvaldo Botello's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jacobo Lalla read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. 73 minutes into the match, CHIVA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Osvaldo Botello came free, but Jacobo Lalla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 75 played minutes Ramblones got a freekick which was hit by Eustacio Cheche. Filiberto Esdras received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Tadeo Galeno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With 85 minutes on the clock, Blas Umbruso commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 88th minute there was a penalty for CHIVA FC. Fernan Semeno stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Tadeo Galeno. 2-0. After 93 played minutes Ramblones got a freekick which was hit by Eustacio Cheche. If Alfonso Satordi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Many of Ramblones's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Ramblones may have spent more time on the ball, but CHIVA FC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
