Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anselmo Manni in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Melchor Etxahun prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With his leg Melchor Etxahun managed to avoid a goal in the 36thth minute, when Ayacucho's Anselmo Manni fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Arsenio Valerio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Melchor Etxahun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Melchor Etxahun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardo Mendebal in the 41st minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Anselmo Manni got free with Melchor Etxahun in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ricardo Mendebal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Melchor Etxahun read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. With a little luck, Stade Argen's Melchor Etxahun got control of the ball when Arsenio Valerio tried to sneak it across the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Nestor Fidencio hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Melchor Etxahun didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Ayacucho's Anselmo Manni shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 4-0 in the ordered_time% minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Ricardo Mendebal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ayacucho's supporters rose to their feet, but Ricardo Mendebal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. When the match had gone on for 70 minutes, Cristian Miro took a quick shot and it went in 4-1 without a chance for Anier Sugoi to make any attempt to save it. When the match clock showed 81 minutes, the score became 5-1 when Anselmo Manni sped through Stade Argen's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Melchor Etxahun. In the 87th minute, Anselmo Manni got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Melchor Etxahun stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anselmo Manni's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. 95 minutes into the match, Ayacucho's Anselmo Manni sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Melchor Etxahun narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Nestor Fidencio's late challenge caught a Ayacucho's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nestor Fidencio helped the player get up and apologised. In the 96th minute, Nestor Fidencio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Ayacucho had played much better football throughout.
