Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gervasio Bautista in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Froilan Ekhi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 23 minutes into the game, Gervasio Bautista recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Froilan Ekhi. Gervasio Bautista showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Chacarita AFC:s Angel Isauro showed great skill when he stopped Luciano Kinsen:s penalty. An unexpectedly hard shot by Godofredo Innocenzio in the 30th minute of play forced Chacarita AFC's goalkeeper Angel Isauro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Angel Isauro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Godofredo Innocenzio, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. A collision led to Chacarita AFC getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Rosendo Inko hit a great ball. Valentin Camerino charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Valentin Camerino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 39th match minute, Ataxia FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valentin Camerino to maneuver through the defense. Chacarita AFC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ismael Domingues in the 42nd minute. The corner ended in Ismael Domingues almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ataxia FC's Froilan Ekhi did a great save. Modesto Nalo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Froilan Ekhi having to interfere. If Saturnino Valery had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 49th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The audience was convinced that Modesto Nalo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Froilan Ekhi was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. Saturnino Valery's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Angel Isauro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ataxia FC's goalkeeper Froilan Ekhi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gervasio Bautista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Froilan Ekhi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Angel Isauro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Saturnino Valery in the 92nd minute of play. If Gervasio Bautista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
