Eustaquio Poncio ran back to his position shaking his head. Benjamin Neto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carolo Gai in the 39th minute of play. After 40 played minutes Porvenir Talleres got a freekick which was hit by Celestino Leocadio. Thanks to some nice moves Eriberto Bikendi could shoot a difficult shot in the 45th minute, which Gilbert Wallach however easily saved by the left post. Eleuterio Frutos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamin Neto having to interfere. After the first half Porvenir Talleres were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Eustaquio Poncio made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Porvenir Talleres's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelo Dayam came free, but Gilbert Wallach reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
