After having played for 5 minutes, Evaristo Chumo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Evelio Txurio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Carlos Oxel made a huge save. Carlos Oxel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victorio Navarro, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. If Ovidio Endira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Campanas's Urbano Olayo got a free kick in the 12th minute. Urbano Olayo hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. With his leg Carlos Oxel managed to avoid a goal in the 39thth minute, when Club Deportivo Badajoz's Domingo Belarmo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ovidio Endira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Campanas's Carlos Oxel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evaristo Chumo in the 42nd minute of play. After 47 played minutes Club Deportivo Badajoz got a freekick which was hit by Reynaldo Ekhi. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ovidio Endira to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Silvio Abeitia cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1.
