Spectators: 7288 (Terracing: 5468, Seating: 1676, VIP seats: 144) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Eduardo Lucero started the match with the kick off. When Manuel Cordeara came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Covello FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manuel Cordeara couldn't finish the play. Nestor Lauren scored 0-1 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tomas Artaldo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Roman Hegoi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lisandro Calvet read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. In the 15th minute, Roman Hegoi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Manuel Cordeara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomas Artaldo having to interfere. In the 26thth minute of the game Nestor Lauren who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rodeopampa AFC's Tomas Artaldo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tomas Artaldo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Cordeara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eduardo Lucero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Lisandro Calvet managed to avoid a goal in the 40thth minute, when Rodeopampa AFC's Roman Hegoi fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a defensive mix-up in Covello FC's zone, Eduardo Lucero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lisandro Calvet came out of the goal and Eduardo Lucero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Rodeopampa AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Covello FC were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nestor Lauren to make the kick off. 62 minutes into the match, Covello FC's Nestor Lauren sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tomas Artaldo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Marcelo Rivero's late challenge caught a Rodeopampa AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcelo Rivero helped the player get up and apologised. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eduardo Lucero in the 82nd minute of play forced Covello FC's goalkeeper Lisandro Calvet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomas Artaldo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Manuel Cordeara in the 83rd minute. If Manuel Cordeara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nestor Lauren recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Covello FC's Nestor Lauren in the 94th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Tomas Artaldo was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Rodeopampa AFC through an amazing save. The Covello FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
