In the 5thth minute of the game Rene Orlondo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Yocán FC's Alfredo Orti was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alfredo Orti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rene Orlondo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 8 minutes into the match, General Roca's goalkeeper Elvio Firme had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arnulfo Pabla. Elvio Firme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Justino Taurino in the 11th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Yocán FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rene Orlondo came free, but Alfredo Orti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rene Orlondo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. General Roca's Elvio Firme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Justino Taurino in the 42nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arnulfo Pabla got free with Elvio Firme in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. General Roca's Elvio Firme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Justino Taurino in the 45th minute of play. Rene Orlondo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Alfredo Orti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 86th minute, Fernando Diaz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The General Roca fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. If Rene Orlondo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 93rd minute Arnulfo Pabla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elvio Firme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 95 minutes into the match, General Roca's goal looked a bit too open when Arnulfo Pabla came free, but Elvio Firme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle, Yocán FC could leave the field as winners, despite General Roca having more of the ball for most of the match.
