In the 6th minute, Rene Orlondo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ulises Lando fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elvio Firme having to interfere. Pitoy Martínez de Aldunate could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Aureliano Jurgi made a huge save. When Luciano Bakar came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the La Loma fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luciano Bakar couldn't finish the play. 29 minutes into the match, Luciano Bakar notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of General Roca's Elvio Firme. Elvio Firme was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A hard shot 36 in the game by Pitoy Martínez de Aldunate from a close distance when the talented Aureliano Jurgi managed to make a qualified save. La Loma's players were relieved. Pitoy Martínez de Aldunate received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Aureliano Jurgi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 46 minutes into the match, La Loma's goalkeeper Aureliano Jurgi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pitoy Martínez de Aldunate. La Loma's Aureliano Jurgi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rene Orlondo in the 48th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ulises Lando made a kick off. 53 minutes had been played when some careless play by General Roca's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Virgilio Ermengol was slow to take the kick. During this time La Loma's players had a chance to rest. After 55 played minutes General Roca got a freekick which was hit by Rene Orlondo. 57 minutes into the match, General Roca's Rene Orlondo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aureliano Jurgi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 59th match minute, General Roca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ignacio Santikurtz to maneuver through the defense. Rene Orlondo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The General Roca fans' excitement grew in the 64th match minute when General Roca's Pitoy Martínez de Aldunate looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Aureliano Jurgi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rene Orlondo, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. When Fernan Ponc came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the General Roca fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fernan Ponc couldn't finish the play. La Loma's Aureliano Jurgi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rene Orlondo in the 73rd minute of play. General Roca's Elvio Firme proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save General Roca from getting a goal against them. Rene Orlondo scored 3-1 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aureliano Jurgi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 81st minute, Hilario Guilabertus got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aureliano Jurgi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rene Orlondo in the 84th minute of play. In the 86th minute, Pitoy Martínez de Aldunate ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aureliano Jurgi was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. Aureliano Jurgi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pitoy Martínez de Aldunate, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rene Orlondo in the 95th minute of play forced La Loma's goalkeeper Aureliano Jurgi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, La Loma's Roque Seber got a free kick in the 96th minute. When the referee ended the match the General Roca players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
