Carlos Erroman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Cebo having to interfere. Eriberto Dubardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Venancio Ihazintu having to interfere. Benigno Gabino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Venancio Ihazintu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benigno Gabino in the 38thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Venancio Ihazintu, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Erroman in the 41st minute of play forced Sunderland A.F.C.'s goalkeeper Daniel Cebo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 43rd minute, Osvaldo Vasco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Daniel Cebo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Sunderland A.F.C.'s Daniel Cebo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Erroman in the 48th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Carlos Erroman to strike the kick off in the second half. Venancio Ihazintu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dionisio Peruxu went, in the 51st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. If Benigno Gabino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Osvaldo Vasco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Daniel Cebo made a huge save. Benigno Gabino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eriberto Dubardo charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eriberto Dubardo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 63 played minutes Sunderland A.F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Eriberto Dubardo. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Benigno Gabino in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Venancio Ihazintu saved Candelaria FC from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Omar Charro during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Omar Charro hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Sunderland A.F.C.'s zone, Osvaldo Vasco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daniel Cebo came out of the goal and Osvaldo Vasco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 83 minutes into the match, Candelaria FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eriberto Dubardo came free, but Venancio Ihazintu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eriberto Dubardo in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Venancio Ihazintu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Candelaria FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
