If Ruperto Malvin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Antonio Quintanilla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jaime Txindoki having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Rincón's Roque Markel got a free kick in the 36th minute. In the 39th minute Ruperto Malvin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaime Txindoki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 41 minutes into the match, Rincón's goal looked a bit too open when Ruperto Malvin came free, but Jaime Txindoki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fidel Cucao to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lino Bitxintxo in the 53rd minute of play forced Ave Fénix Fútbol Club's goalkeeper Casimiro Orland to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Rincón's zone, Ruperto Malvin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jaime Txindoki came out of the goal and Ruperto Malvin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 61 minutes into the game, Antonio Quintanilla lined in a short shot 0-2 behind a frustrated Jaime Txindoki. Lino Bitxintxo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Ruperto Malvin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hugo Fiz scored 0-3 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jaime Txindoki, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ave Fénix Fútbol Club's Ruperto Malvin got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jaime Txindoki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ruperto Malvin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ave Fénix Fútbol Club's Hugo Fiz got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Elias Guerrero fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rincón's protests and gave Elias Guerrero a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ruperto Malvin in the 82nd minute of play forced Rincón's goalkeeper Jaime Txindoki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jaime Txindoki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ruperto Malvin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 86th minute, Ave Fénix Fútbol Club's Ruperto Malvin dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. 89 minutes into the game, Tomasz Trojanowski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ave Fénix Fútbol Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rincón the free kick. A collision led to Ave Fénix Fútbol Club getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Tomasz Trojanowski hit a great ball. Casimiro Orland showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lino Bitxintxo in the 91st minute of the match. Ruperto Malvin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Jaime Txindoki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 95th minute, Lino Bitxintxo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ave Fénix Fútbol Club's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
