He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Fumata FC reached it. If Nestor Ixona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Saul Distiratsu kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Dante Criston made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Saul Distiratsu sent off a good shot on target. Nestor Ixona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Criston having to interfere. Dante Criston made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Timoteo Abaurre in the 31st minute of play. 33 minutes into the game, Nestor Ixona cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Dante Criston was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 45 minutes, Timoteo Abaurre managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caraguatay FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Timoteo Abaurre was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Bernardino Urtun made the kick off in the second half.
