Timoteo Abaurre blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Teo Patrido having to make a save. Caraguatay FC's Nestor Ixona got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Caraguatay FC's Fulgencio Umea got a free kick in the 24th minute. If Urbano Furman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. Amadeo Quiroga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mauro Dalmai in the 73rd minute of the match. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Caraguatay FC's goalkeeper Amadeo Quiroga, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 76th match minute, Caraguatay FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eliseo Crispo to maneuver through the defense. After 77 played minutes, ATLETICO MAR DEL TUYU's Honorato Unai shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Amadeo Quiroga came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line.
