If Jairo Esquipula had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Pavón getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Hilario Senen hit a great ball. When Severiano Gutierrez came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Club Patricios de Futbol fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Severiano Gutierrez couldn't finish the play. In the 28th minute Jairo Esquipula shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dario Odon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Narciso Medina who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 37thth minute tested the skills of Santo Teyo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jairo Esquipula in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dario Odon saved Pavón from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Club Patricios de Futbol's zone, Narciso Medina stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Santo Teyo came out of the goal and Narciso Medina tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Artemio Orlondo hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Dario Odon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jairo Esquipula in the 62nd minute of play. In the 69th minute of the match Eusebio Barros sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dario Odon skillfully saved the ball. Agustin Alonso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agustin Alonso in the 75th minute of play forced Club Patricios de Futbol's goalkeeper Santo Teyo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dario Odon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jairo Esquipula's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. In the 82nd minute, Agustin Alonso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
