Damaso Benitez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jaime Ado went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. 62 minutes into the match, Los Cuervos's Pastor Markel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Damaso Benitez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Fulgencio Rio's late challenge caught a Club Nacional De Futbol's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fulgencio Rio helped the player get up and apologised. In the 64th match minute, Los Cuervos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fulgencio Rio to maneuver through the defense. Julian Lander received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Segundo Estefan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Los Cuervos's Jaime Ado got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pastor Markel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damaso Benitez having to interfere. Jaime Ado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Damaso Benitez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. Jaime Ado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damaso Benitez having to interfere. Moises Luken charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Moises Luken the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The Club Nacional De Futbol supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Los Cuervos's performance. The match ended with a win for Los Cuervos.
