Tiburcio Birila blasted a shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Inocencio Danel having to make a save. After 9 minutes, Leonides Aznar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the los chelcos rugby and the Cavalango players grew even worse after the yellow card. Leonides Aznar kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. After 11 played minutes Cavalango got a freekick which was hit by Jesus Luar. Cipriano Nikola could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Inocencio Danel made a huge save. If Luisito Unai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tiburcio Birila recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 22nd minute, Jesus Luar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cipriano Nikola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Inocencio Danel having to interfere. Luisito Unai recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 29 minutes into the match, los chelcos rugby's Cipriano Nikola sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Inocencio Danel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jesus Luar in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Armando Azevedo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jesus Luar in the 32nd minute of play forced los chelcos rugby's goalkeeper Armando Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Armando Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luisito Unai in the 38th minute of the match. Armando Azevedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jesus Luar, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Inocencio Danel was out of position in the 43 minute of play, and Ruben Rumaldo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ruben Rumaldo really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Inocencio Danel made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Tiburcio Birila sent off a good shot on target. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luisito Unai made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Luisito Unai got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 54 minutes into the game, Cavalango's Luisito Unai nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Armando Azevedo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. When Luisito Unai came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Cavalango fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luisito Unai couldn't finish the play. Ruben Rumaldo hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Ruben Rumaldo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Inocencio Danel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 69th minute, Leonides Aznar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Inocencio Danel was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. After 71 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Cavalango! Armando Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luisito Unai, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luisito Unai struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Armando Azevedo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cavalango. Jesus Luar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aquiles Toribio during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cipriano Nikola blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Inocencio Danel having to make a save. The supporters of los chelcos rugby booed when Cavalango was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaspar Gartzen didn't get a good kick on the ball. The attack was good, but when Cipriano Nikola in the 92nd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Luisito Unai managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cavalango's supporters rose to their feet, but Luisito Unai was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Armando Azevedo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. los chelcos rugby walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
