When Cipriano Nikola came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the los chelcos rugby fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cipriano Nikola couldn't finish the play. Benito Mendebal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Celestino Orkatz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zacarias Medardo in the 21st minute of play. If Cipriano Nikola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Armando Azevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baldomiro Salvadore in the 34th minute of play. 36 minutes into the game, los chelcos rugby's Cipriano Nikola nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Celestino Orkatz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Armando Azevedo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mauricio Ponc in the 46th minute. The KFC Team players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. los chelcos rugby were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cipriano Nikola to make the kick off. Hermengildo Gabon hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Baldomiro Salvadore received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Armando Azevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Baldomiro Salvadore had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 59th minute Baldomiro Salvadore shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armando Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 63rd minute, Benito Mendebal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of KFC Team booed when los chelcos rugby was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Higinio Gora didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 67thth minute of the game Baldomiro Salvadore who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but los chelcos rugby's Armando Azevedo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Armando Azevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baldomiro Salvadore in the 68th minute of play. Armando Azevedo came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by KFC Team's Mauricio Ponc. But to his dismay, Mauricio Ponc quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Mauricio Ponc fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armando Azevedo having to interfere. A collision led to los chelcos rugby getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Jimeno Calixto hit a great ball. In the 84th minute, Baldomiro Salvadore made a precise shot to the right of Armando Azevedo. los chelcos rugby's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. If Ruben Rumaldo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cipriano Nikola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
