In a very dangerous position, a player in Deportivo Morón fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 4th minute. Penalty! When Natalio Harkaitz fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Deportivo Morón's protests and gave Natalio Harkaitz a yellow card for diving instead. In the 14th minute, Natalio Harkaitz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 16 minutes, Edgardo Feo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deportivo Morón's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edgardo Feo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 34th minute, Abel Emeterio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Deportivo Morón fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Abel Emeterio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Uriel Berto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Artemio Urtsua recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Artemio Urtsua to make the kick off. Deportivo Morón's Saverio Ioritz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artemio Urtsua in the 55th minute of play. In the 57th minute Artemio Urtsua shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Saverio Ioritz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 60th match minute, Deportivo Morón was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Epifanio Gutierrez to maneuver through the defense. 66 minutes into the game, Abel Emeterio recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Uriel Berto. Abel Emeterio showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Epifanio Gutierrez hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Abel Adrio's shot from long distance was a real pearl which went to the right and just passed Saverio Ioritz - 2-3 was put on the score board in the 85th minute. In the 93rd minute Artemio Urtsua shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Saverio Ioritz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Morón's zone, Artemio Urtsua stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Saverio Ioritz came out of the goal and Artemio Urtsua tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 96th minute Donato Gar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Saverio Ioritz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The 11 ★ Viejos ★ Fracasados manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Deportivo Morón to win.
