But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aureliano Gilabert couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Palmitas FC's Nunez Millrick got a free kick in the 15th minute. Lorenzo Joachim was a little too slow when Ernesto Aresti got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 18th minute. The score was now 2-0. 21 minutes into the match, Palmitas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Aureliano Gilabert came free, but Lorenzo Joachim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Felix Lertxun during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 94th minute, Ariel Thomas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The COCO FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The COCO FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Palmitas FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
