In the 4thth minute of the game Rene Mercurio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Atlético de Madrid's Santiago Blanco was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Epifanio Jenaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardo Serapio having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eduardo Basajaun in the 10th minute of play forced Club Atlético de Madrid's goalkeeper Santiago Blanco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Melchor Hustaz kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Club Atlético de Madrid's Santiago Blanco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rene Mercurio in the 15th minute of play. If Silvano Tohias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 20 minutes into the match, los diablos rojos fc's goal looked a bit too open when Epifanio Jenaro came free, but Bernardo Serapio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Epifanio Jenaro in the 22nd minute of play forced los diablos rojos fc's goalkeeper Bernardo Serapio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 23 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for los diablos rojos fc! Santiago Blanco didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rene Mercurio went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 33rd minute, Claudio Itzaina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Rene Mercurio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 39 minutes into the game, Godfredo Beti was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. los diablos rojos fc's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Atlético de Madrid the free kick. The supporters of Club Atlético de Madrid booed when los diablos rojos fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Godfredo Beti didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 41st minute, Hermengildo Elizardo sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and los diablos rojos fc's Bernardo Serapio didn't even have to move. Silvano Tohias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Bernardo Serapio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Rene Mercurio made the kick off in the second half. Godfredo Beti kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Melchor Hustaz struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Bernardo Serapio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Atlético de Madrid. After 74 minutes of play, Club Atlético de Madrid's Epifanio Jenaro made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bernardo Serapio was left in no man's land by his defense there! Santiago Blanco made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Eduardo Basajaun sent off a good shot on target. Bernardo Serapio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silvano Tohias, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. When Eduardo Basajaun came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the los diablos rojos fc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eduardo Basajaun couldn't finish the play. When the referee ended the match the Club Atlético de Madrid players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
