The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When the match had gone on for 3 minutes, Feliciano Vincent put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Marcelino Elizardo. Pedro Jerrold kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Marcelino Elizardo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Epifanio Justin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In a very dangerous position, a player in Xeneize Jrs. fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 14th minute. Penalty! Feliciano Vincent sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 30 minutes into the match, Xeneize Jrs.'s goalkeeper Freddy Atauri had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arsenio Errando. Arsenio Errando came free with the goalkeeper in the 32nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Freddy Atauri could save by the left post. Feliciano Vincent might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcelino Elizardo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Feliciano Vincent ran back to his position shaking his head. Marcelino Elizardo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Feliciano Vincent's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aurelio Harkaitz was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Rulais FC getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Pedro Jerrold hit a great ball. Feliciano Vincent struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Marcelino Elizardo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Xeneize Jrs.. In the 58th minute, Hector Tavio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Rulais FC's Eduardo Formerio got a free kick in the 63rd minute. A hard shot 68 in the game by Feliciano Vincent from a close distance when the talented Marcelino Elizardo managed to make a qualified save. Rulais FC's players were relieved. Epifanio Justin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 73rd minute, Leonides Belo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Xeneize Jrs. booed when Rulais FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Jerrold didn't get a good kick on the ball. 76 minutes in the game Epifanio Justin after having made a beautiful turn got a great opportunity to score and fired away a shot that went just to the left past a relieved Marcelino Elizardo. A very good opportunity. After a defensive mix-up in Rulais FC's zone, Feliciano Vincent stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcelino Elizardo came out of the goal and Feliciano Vincent tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Feliciano Vincent received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Marcelino Elizardo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Mateo Rosario came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Xeneize Jrs. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mateo Rosario couldn't finish the play. Marcelino Elizardo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonides Belo, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. In the 92nd minute, Leonides Belo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcelino Elizardo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. When the match was over Xeneize Jrs. could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Rulais FC throughout the match.
