An unexpectedly hard shot by Cornelio Joanes in the 27th minute of play forced Club Atletico San Antonio's goalkeeper Silvestre Gartxot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Teodoro Leizarraga fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Carcarañá's protests and gave Teodoro Leizarraga a yellow card for diving instead. In the 36th match minute, Carcarañá was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodoro Leizarraga to maneuver through the defense. Siro Rosio was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 38th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Florentino Ubendu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sergio Tiadoro, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Saturnino Madeo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Florentino Ubendu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sergio Tiadoro made a kick off. Teobaldo Clis hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. Gonzalo Nuñez charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gonzalo Nuñez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 51 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Carcarañá! Florentino Ubendu went to the wrong direction when Siro Rosio was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Saturnino Madeo might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Florentino Ubendu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Saturnino Madeo ran back to his position shaking his head. Cornelio Joanes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvestre Gartxot having to interfere. Cornelio Joanes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Silvestre Gartxot tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sergio Tiadoro struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Florentino Ubendu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Atletico San Antonio. Florentino Ubendu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sergio Tiadoro in the 77th minute of the match. In the 81st minute Cornelio Joanes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvestre Gartxot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sergio Tiadoro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gonzalo Nuñez kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Cornelio Joanes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Silvestre Gartxot tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Carcarañá's Cornelio Joanes in 91 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Silvestre Gartxot guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Club Atletico San Antonio's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
