The tension between the Antucura Futbol Club and the Atlético Tacú players grew even worse after the yellow card. Roberto Caradaro kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Cayetano Joanes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rosendo Arnau, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. After 15 played minutes Atlético Tacú got a freekick which was hit by Epifanio Charro. In the 20th match minute, Atlético Tacú was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Federico Sazon to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot 23 in the game by Rosendo Arnau from a close distance when the talented Cayetano Joanes managed to make a qualified save. Atlético Tacú's players were relieved. Atlético Tacú's Epifanio Brun pulled a muscle in his back after 32 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Urbano Fanuco during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Atlético Tacú booed when Antucura Futbol Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Urbano Fanuco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cayetano Joanes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rosendo Arnau in the 37th minute of the match. When Rosendo Arnau came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Antucura Futbol Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rosendo Arnau couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Constantino Ted managed to get in a good position for a shot. Antucura Futbol Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Constantino Ted was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cayetano Joanes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Teofilo Fe made a kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Epifanio Charro in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Grigoris Petrakos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Antucura Futbol Club booed when Atlético Tacú was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacinto Nastasio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rosendo Arnau in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cayetano Joanes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 61st minute Rosendo Arnau collided with an opponent which caused him a fractured collar bone. In the 67th minute, Roberto Caradaro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 68th minute, Epifanio Charro reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Grigoris Petrakos. The goal made the score 0-1. In the 73rd minute, Constantino Ted ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cayetano Joanes was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Cayetano Joanes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Urbano Fanuco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teofilo Fe in the 92nd minute of play forced Antucura Futbol Club's goalkeeper Grigoris Petrakos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Atlético Tacú's Cayetano Joanes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan Carlos Olave in the 95th minute of play. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
