An unexpectedly hard shot by Emiliano Erramun in the 12th minute of play forced VILLA ZAPIOLA's goalkeeper Andri Kirsipuu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 15th minute Emiliano Erramun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andri Kirsipuu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Aquiles Belo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aquiles Belo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eusebio Jakobe read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Aquiles Belo put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Eusebio Jakobe. 41 minutes into the game, Rene Porfirio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. banfield AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave VILLA ZAPIOLA the free kick. After the first half VILLA ZAPIOLA were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Emiliano Erramun was the one to do the kick off. Eusebio Jakobe was a little too slow when Teodoro Isaio got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 55th minute. The score was now 0-4. The crowd rose to their feet as Teodoro Isaio kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Eusebio Jakobe. That made the score 0-6 in the 94 minute of play.
