Perón AFC's Lucio Semeno proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Perón AFC from getting a goal against them. Julian Telo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lucio Semeno read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. Guaberto Eusko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucio Semeno having to interfere. Lucio Semeno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Telo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 15 minutes, Blas Guter managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Perón AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Blas Guter was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 17th minute, Perón AFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Guaberto Eusko fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 27 minutes into the match, Perón AFC's Blas Guter sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ivan Paul narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Chovet's Ivan Paul played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel Eder in the 28th minute of play. After 35 minutes, Reynaldo Polo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chovet and the Perón AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 35th minute, Reynaldo Polo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Guaberto Eusko got free with Lucio Semeno in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 42 minutes into the match, Chovet's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Eder came free, but Ivan Paul reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Perón AFC's Blas Guter got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 46 minutes into the game, Damaso Fernado was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chovet's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Perón AFC the free kick. The supporters of Perón AFC booed when Chovet was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damaso Fernado didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Manuel Eder was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Julian Telo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 54thth minute of the game Julian Telo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Perón AFC's Lucio Semeno was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Chovet getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Jairo Bernard hit a great ball. Julian Telo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Lucio Semeno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Chovet's Julian Telo in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Perón AFC's goalie prevented a goal. Blas Guter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Blas Guter could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Ivan Paul made a huge save. Lucio Semeno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Telo in the 86th minute of play. If Guaberto Eusko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Julian Telo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chovet's supporters rose to their feet, but Julian Telo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lucio Semeno breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ivan Paul took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gavino Calvet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
