El Jagüel F.C's Ernesto Kinsen got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Julian Telo in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Baldomero Emmanuel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Damaso Fernado charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Damaso Fernado the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Damaso Fernado kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Eduardo Mantzio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivan Paul having to interfere. In the 16th minute Eduardo Mantzio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivan Paul saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eduardo Mantzio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Ivan Paul tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Guaberto Eusko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baldomero Emmanuel having to interfere. Baldomero Emmanuel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Telo in the 29th minute of the match. Chovet's Ivan Paul played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduardo Mantzio in the 31st minute of play. Eduardo Mantzio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of El Jagüel F.C booed when Chovet was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reynaldo Polo didn't get a good kick on the ball. One of Chovet:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of El Jagüel F.C:s goal. Ivan Paul had in the 49thth minute some difficulties stopping Baldomero Piearres's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Eduardo Mantzio made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Chovet's Rosendo Jesco got a free kick in the 60th minute. Eduardo Mantzio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivan Paul having to interfere. Ernesto Kinsen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivan Paul having to interfere. Julian Telo's late challenge caught a El Jagüel F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Julian Telo helped the player get up and apologised. Julian Telo kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ernesto Kinsen got free with Ivan Paul in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 84 minutes into the game, Chovet's Guaberto Eusko nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Baldomero Emmanuel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Ivan Paul made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ernesto Kinsen in the 88th minute. In the 95th minute, Ernesto Kinsen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The El Jagüel F.C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. The Chovet players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
