With his leg Gaudencio Fraco managed to avoid a goal in the 27thth minute, when Chacarita's Ovidio Ciano fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Natalio Clemencin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 59 minutes into the game, BAYER MUNICH's Julio Martxelin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marciano Vitin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 66th minute, Anacleto Eutor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marciano Vitin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Natalio Clemencin in the 70th minute of the match. 72 minutes into the match, Julio Martxelin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marciano Vitin. Chacarita's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Julio Martxelin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. In the 80th minute Ovidio Ciano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaudencio Fraco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in BAYER MUNICH's zone, Ovidio Ciano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gaudencio Fraco came out of the goal and Ovidio Ciano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. BAYER MUNICH's Natalio Clemencin got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Chacarita's Marciano Vitin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Chacarita from getting a goal against them. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched BAYER MUNICH eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
